This program focuses on bringing quality art programming into the Piqua Schools. Focusing on four segments of the school population: Kindergarten, First through Third Grades, Fourth through Sixth Grade, and Seventh through Twelfth, this program looks to directly impact students at every grade level.

Our passion has always been supporting local artists. From affordable workshops with nationally recognized instructors to hosting the largest non-juried art show in the Miami Valley and producing a documentary series featuring local talent—we’re dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for creatives in and around Piqua. To further that mission, we’ve created this awards program to help artists of all disciplines continue their work. Whether you need supplies, professional development, or funding for a project, we’re here to support you.

Local artists are at the heart of the Piqua Arts Council. Homegrown Arts gives us the opportunity to spotlight the incredible talent in our community and highlight how their creativity enriches the region. This video interview series allows us to sit down with local artists, hear their stories, explore their work, and follow their journey within the local arts scene.

As part of this initiative, we are also committed to connecting artists who are excelling in their careers with the broader community—showing that a fulfilling and sustainable profession in the arts is possible. In the future, we will expand this effort through Career Conversation, a program where art professionals will share presentations about their career paths and what it looks like to work in the arts professionally.

Any member of PAC has the opportunity to display work in the gallery. Novice artists to professional artists are all welcome with artwork being rotated quarterly. The gallery is open weekdays from 9am to 4pm and for special events.
