The Sounds of the Season Holiday Concert is a concert for the community featuring local and regional performers, in celebration of the holiday season. The 2022 event will take place on Saturday, December 3 at 5pm at St. James Episcopal Church in Piqua, Ohio.
2021's event was a ticketed event, with tickets costing $5 per person or $10 per family. Piqua Arts Council donated $3 of every single ticket and $6 of every family ticket to the Bethany Center in Piqua, Ohio.
The Bethany Center is an ecumenical ministry in Piqua, manifesting God's love by sharing resources, offering guidance and education, and serving those in need. Piqua Arts Council firmly believes in giving back to the community, and aims to celebrate the giving spirit of the holiday season by supporting local food bank, The Bethany Center.
Piqua Arts Council decided to try something different by making the Sounds of the Season Holiday Concert a ticketed event in 2021, in order to raise attendance and use a portion of the money to support the Bethany Center. During the holiday season, here at the Arts Council, we believe it is important that everyone has a hot meal, and the Bethany Center has been doing great work in the community for a long time now.
Thank you for attending the 2021 Sounds of the Season Holiday Concert and for supporting the Bethany Center in Piqua, Ohio.
Tickets are $5 for individuals, and $10 for families. Tickets not available for purchase at this time.

John uses finger-style guitar to blend many genres of American music, including soul, country, rock, and blues. Born and raised in small-town Iowa, John Simon brings a “shirt-off-his-back” approach to artfully blended styles of American music.
Moving seamlessly through blues, jazz, country, and soul, John can nurture a phrase with his voice and then turn it on end with his guitar. His music adopts the influences of Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, Ray Lamontagne, and Martin Sexton but at the same time finds its own way.
Born and raised in Iowa, John moved to the Dayton area in 2006 and works as a guitar player for a variety of acts and events. His second solo album, Heartsick in the Rearview was released in 2020 and is streaming everywhere.
